After completing the missions, the club generates up to $10,000 in revenue a day. The club can be purchased by protagonist Tommy Vercetti for $120,000 after the mission Shakedown, which then triggers a series of missions. There are no signs on the building depicting the name of the club, but it is referred to as the Malibu by Reni Wassulmaier during the mission So Long Schlong and also by DJ Luke on Fresh FM. The Malibu Club appears in Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories (set in 1984), although it cannot be entered by the player. Everyone from wealthy, trendy women to Cuban gang members are in attendance. ![]() As of 1986, an entourage that appears to be inspired by the Village People performs on the stage. Regardless, it's gorgeous and basically feels like a very high end version of the original PS2 game. The Malibu Club is the place to be in Vice City. Apparently the game's logic doesn't work well at 60fps, and the screen tears if the frame limiter is turned off. again here, you can use the definitive edition project mod: As with the above, you have to use the exe from the folder, rather than launching from steam, so just pin it to start/desktop etc. Basically you need to downgrade the game to version 1.0 so that its moddable and then apply the essential fixes mod collection. GTA SA - this doesn't have a re mod (AFAIK) so a few more steps here toggleable PS2 effects - the best feature imo very long draw distances (with the exception of cars and pedestrians which I think are tied to engine logic) widescreen with corrected/non-stretched UI elements You can also use the Definitive Edition project mod Alternatively, you can follow the steps on to make individual mods after you downgrade. I'm not going to link the download directly or provide instructions for this, for reasons that are hopefully obvious. Note: see threadmarks for other users' useful input Re3 mod for GTA3 I double checked this thread with the moderation staff too. The Re3 and ReVC mods on PC require that you have the original PC assets, ie. This is for people that own steam copies of these games and want to mod them to create the true definitive editions. So - critical disclaimer - this thread has nothing to do with piracy or copyright infringement. BUT you can simply use these two mods for the existing copies of the games you own, as it requires you have the PC game assets already ie. This is the reason for the DMCA and was an inherent problem with the project - obviously Take Two was going to go after ports to new platforms, particularly the switch given these new versions. It should be stated that those projects decompiled those two games, meaning they were reverse engineered and could be ported to new consoles. Take Two thanked them by DCMA'ing them and then suing them, in particular the re3 and reVC mods. They'd done this cuz they loved the games, for no remuneration and over the course of many years. ![]() ![]() What actually bothers me most though is de-listing of all prior versions of the game, particularly the PC versions which the community had pored a huge amount of work into and had essentially produced definitive versions of the games. So I decided I'm not buying it until possibly well down the road when it's been worked on some more and when it's come down in price. Suffice to say, based on the OT, there are some major issues with it - for every good artistic change, there seem to be several really questionable ones and a lot of outright bad ones, the rain is awful, the framerate is variable even on current gen consoles and there are a significant number of bugs well above and beyond those of the originals. I was pretty stoked about it as I love these games, and I even liked some of the visual changes in the trailer. So the launch of the GTA definitive edition trilogy has left a really bad taste in my mouth.
